Joy For The Nations - Week 3

Week 3 Recap:

Living in the Power and Purpose of Easter

Introduction

Easter is a celebration filled with joy, hope, and meaning. It is the moment when everything changes. The resurrection of Jesus is not just an event to remember, it is a reality that reshapes how we live every day. It speaks into our fears, our purpose, and our future. In a world full of noise about what matters most, the message of Easter brings clarity. It reminds us of who holds authority, what truly matters, and how we are meant to live.

The Authority of the Risen Christ

Life constantly pulls us in different directions, each voice claiming authority. Culture tells us success defines us. Relationships tell us approval defines us. Circumstances tell us limitations define us. But Easter declares something greater. Jesus rises from the dead and makes a bold statement that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him. This is not partial authority or temporary influence. It is complete and final. Every part of life falls under His rule. Recognizing this changes everything. It shifts our perspective from trying to control life to trusting the One who already holds it together. The struggles we face do not sit above Him. They sit beneath Him.

The Mission That Matters Most

After rising from the dead, Jesus does not give a long list of complicated instructions. He gives one clear mission. Go and make disciples. This cuts through so much confusion. The goal of life is not simply to be good, to gain success, or to accumulate things. Those things may have value, but they are not the purpose. The purpose is to help people know Him and follow Him. This mission is not reserved for a few. It belongs to everyone who believes. It can look different for each person, but it always begins with something simple. Sharing your story. Inviting someone. Living in a way that reflects the grace you have received.

A Mission for Every Person

It is easy to think that only certain people are equipped for something meaningful. Some feel unqualified. Others feel unsure of what to say. But the mission of Jesus is not built on perfection. It is built on obedience. Every person has a role. Every personality, every background, and every story matters. There is no need to compare or compete. The goal is not to be someone else. The goal is to faithfully step into what you have been given. When people come together with a shared purpose, something powerful happens. Unity replaces division. Clarity replaces confusion. The mission moves forward.

You Are Not Alone

One of the greatest fears people carry is the fear of being alone. Facing life, challenges, and uncertainty without support can feel overwhelming. But Easter brings a promise that speaks directly into that fear. Jesus says that He is with us always. This is not a temporary presence. It is constant. In moments of joy, in seasons of pain, in times of doubt, and in times of confidence, He is there. His presence does not depend on our strength. It remains steady even when we feel weak. Knowing that we are not alone gives us courage. It allows us to move forward even when we feel afraid. It reminds us that we are supported by something greater than ourselves.

The Invitation to Respond

The message of Easter is not just something to hear. It is something to respond to. It begins with honesty. Recognizing that we fall short and cannot fix ourselves. It continues with surrender. Admitting that we need help. And it leads to a simple but powerful prayer. God, save me. This is where transformation begins. Not in perfection, but in dependence. Not in having all the answers, but in trusting the One who does.

Closing

Easter is more than a moment on the calendar. It is a turning point for life. It reminds us that Jesus is alive, that He has all authority, that He has given us a mission, and that He is with us always. The question is not whether this is true. The question is how we will respond.

Will we trust His authority over our lives, will we step into the mission He has given, will we live with the confidence that we are never alone?

The resurrection invites us into a life of purpose, courage, and hope. And that invitation is open right now.
